These days, I’m expanding my creative toolkit through video editing and motion graphics—learning how rhythm, transitions, and animation bring stories to life. I use these skills to produce content for my online painting classes and fledgling YouTube channel, where I teach watercolour techniques.
The work below reflects where I am now and how I’m growing in this exciting and ever-evolving industry.
Short Form, Reels, Shorts… whatever you want to call them… I love them
I’ve always loved the process of capturing light, movement, and story. Today, I shoot with a Sony FX30 and a DJI Pocket 3, the latter of which I use often to create content for my online watercolour instruction. The quality achievable with compact equipment these days is incredible — flexible, lightweight, and capable of stunning results.
Though I’m well versed behind the lens, my true preference is video editing — both for the creative control it offers and the freedom to work remotely. Editing allows me to shape the narrative, refine the pacing, and bring motion and meaning together. It also ties seamlessly into my love of motion design, where I can blend animation, typography, and storytelling into fully realized visual content.
From social reels and branded promos to animated explainers and educational walkthroughs, I approach each project with intention — combining thoughtful composition with clean, polished execution.
