What more could you ask for?

For me, “illustration” is a broad umbrella — covering everything from quick concept sketches and digital painting to detailed work in Adobe Illustrator.

I’ve been drawing my whole life, and while I didn’t formally study illustration in college (I didn’t even realize it was its own program at the time), my lifelong design experience and creative instincts naturally led me here.

Over the years, I’ve developed into a competent illustrator by doing what I’ve always done: creating. And, truth be told, I’ve found a way to sneak my illustrations into almost every project — whether it’s part of a motion graphic, a brand identity, or just the right touch of personality in a web layout.

Illustration plays a role in nearly everything I do — from explainer videos and animated elements in motion graphics, to icons, support graphics, and custom visuals for websites and print material. It’s one of the most versatile tools in my kit — and one I reach for often.

Humming Bird Digital Oil Painting

Digital Tools, Real Art

I love the tools available to artists today — from Procreate and Adobe Fresco to my AI assistant that named herself  Snarkchive. My iPad has become my portable art studio, allowing me to sketch, paint, and experiment wherever I happen to be.

Most of my illustration work starts there — on the screen, with a stylus — but the heart behind it is still the same: a lifelong love of drawing, colour, and craft. Whether I’m working on concept art, finished digital paintings like this hummingbird, or just noodling out ideas, I’m constantly exploring how traditional techniques can live and breathe through modern technology.
