Description
I have spent nearly 15 years learning how to paint with watercolours. Along with that I learned to make my own watercolour paint from raw pigments. I perfect those paints, made a business out of it and then sold that business. Fast forward a decade and a half and I find myself spending countless hours, days and eventually the better part of a year perfecting watercolor brushes for Procreate. This was not an easy task! The fluidity of watercolour is very hard to replicate. Just like with real watercolour painting it is not so much about how you paint as it is how the paint you paint with dries. Replicating that was the biggest challenge. Another challenge I faced with making watercolor brushes for Procreate was to make them work without a canvas texture. I often paint on hot press paper which has no texture. The majority of my most successful paintings are made on hot press paper. On top of adding texture to the brushes I needed to replicate the look and feel of pigmented paint. The list goes on but the end result is a set of brushes I am happy to share with you. I do have video resources available to help with the brushes and will shortly have a course on my website on how to make several paintings and those courses will include the brush set. Please reach out to me with any questions you have.
