Art is like an incomplete thought in your mind…you see it in flashes…it is more of a feeling than a concrete image.  Sometimes you see the end result in your mind and then you have to figure out how to get there. Painting from a photograph or from a physical subject, the challenge is to "let go”, to “loosen up”.  Painting from your imagination the struggle is to bring enough realism.  For me, the best results occur when I manage to land somewhere in between.
